I’m Michael,
I'm a gemologist, designer, and founder of Michael Isaac Bespoke, based in York, North Yorkshire.
For over 15 years, I’ve crafted bespoke jewellery, specialising in engagement and wedding rings for those who refuse to settle for the ordinary. As a former head diamond buyer for some of the UK’s top jewellers, I’ve designed pieces for over 1,000 clients, trained with the GIA, and even created exclusive designs for A-list celebrities.
But my journey began long before I built my name in the industry.

From York To The World
It all started with one request from my best friend, Will. He was ready to propose and wanted a ring that truly meant something. Not just a beautiful ring, but one that told their story. As a gemologist and senior diamond buyer, I thought it would be simple. But I quickly realised two things:
1. Everything Looked Generic
Will wanted a ring that was deeply personal, yet everything available felt mass-produced and uninspired.
2. Overwhelming Process
Bespoke jewellery seemed unnecessarily complex, expensive, and filled with uncertainty.
Determined to create something better, I teamed up with my old colleague Phil, a former Bond Street craftsman. Together, we designed a ring that was not just unique and exceptionally crafted but something deeply meaningful. Something that had the all important 'wow' factor.
When I handed Will the ring, he just stared at it. Silent. Then, he turned it over in his hands, his eyes shining. “This is exactly what I imagined, but better.”
At that moment, I knew. Most guys don’t just want a ring. They want certainty. They want to know that when they open that box, their partner’s eyes will light up with joy.
And so, Michael Isaac Bespoke was born, to make custom jewellery effortless, deeply personal, and truly unforgettable.
