MY STORY
After over a decade working as a senior gemologist and diamond buyer for some of Yorkshire’s top jewellers, I thought finding the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend would be easy — but instead, I ran into two problems.
Firstly, finding a ring that felt truly personal and unique was nearly impossible — most options lacked individuality and meaning. Secondly, the custom high-quality engagement rings that could deliver on craftsmanship came with a massive premium. Frustrated, I decided to team up with my best friend Phil, a former Bond Street master craftsman. We combined his artistry with my global network of suppliers and diamond expertise as a GIA-trained gemologist to create something truly special and unique. The result? A custom-made ring that stands out from the crowd, something I was proud to propose with. That moment ignited my passion for fine jewellery manufacturing. But I was left with a question...
What if we could help people choose the perfect lab or mined diamond they’d be proud to propose with—without settling for a generic, off-the-shelf ring or overpaying for bespoke luxury? After two years of research, and development, perfecting our process and building a state-of-the-art design suite, the Michael Isaac brand was born. What started as my personal quest for the perfect engagement ring has grown into creating one-of-a-kind rings for over 1,000 happy couples—and even designing for A-list celebrities—while offering exceptional British quality without the inflated price tag.
